Dark Star part 9

final colours (for now) and Character Stuff

i think that ive got a good level of contrasting colours, colour to personality connection and group look for now. i think that each also look like there working in the jobs they have acquired.

im currently thinking about the rolls each of the characters fill, there i a common method used in film/series which is called the five man band, this is where each of the main characters, even if there isnt five, fills one or multiple roll's within the group, i dont want to follow this to directly however as not to be generic but its something to think about.

the Archetypes are:

The Leader: the level headed, most well rounded character of the team, often seen as the protagonist because of this, he organizes the groups strengths and resultingly they themselves fall short on anything unique other than leadership.

The Lancer: the contrast to the leader, whatever personality the Leader has the lancer is often the opiste, more than often being the Anti hero of the group, sometimes a more chaotic approach works, lending this character to have a lone wolf attitude.

The Smart Guy: often lacking psychically and socially is the "Smart guy" however they make up for it with there intellect, being the pushing force behind exposition and problem solving, however due to there lacking charisma this character almost never is the leader  

The Big Guy: likely to be in contrast with the Smart guy, the big guy is the psychically fit and often socially capable character (at least among the group) they allso cant be idiotic much like the hulk, or just be unique in some other facet, Eg: race (chewbacca), actually being small (Toph Beifong), mixed with "the Heart" (Alphonse Elric)

The Heart: this character is much like the ideological/ emotional leader/ center of the group, they attempt to keep the peace when conflict arises in the group and will challenge the teams decisions when unethical, rather that practical, more than often this character is the one girl of the group, but i can tell you now Ash is far from being the heart.

what i can apply this to with my own characters  

Kiro (Leader/Lancer/"the big guy")

Kiro is pretty much what happens when the lancer takes the leader roll, he's the closest thing to a leader within the group, his plans are often a-moral which comes into conflict with Darcy (the Heart)  his critical-ness of others also apply to the lancers often lone wolf approach. the reason i added the big guy is because of his power, even at the begining when the team has little power over magic Kiro has the most, and i dont think that he is close enough to the smart guy Archetype  

Darcy(Heart/Lancer)

Darcy's Empathy for others and moral approach to handling situations puts him closes to being the heart, often pushing the group to help others even when impractical, he also fits the Lancer position because of his contrast to Kiro.

Ash(The Smart Guy/Lancer)

as seen above all the characters are in part the lancer, but in ash's case this is because she isnt socially inept in the way most "Smart Guys" are, her ineptness is not being rude/ inappropriate particularity when it is most needed to be formal, she's the sort of person who would crack a joke at a funeral "hes not the only one who's dying for this to be over".
