water ship down
director and year it was made: Martin Rosen in 1987what it was based on- the novel water ship down by Richard Adams published in 1972
my review
for its time, and even till now the theme of a dark world for anthropomorphic animals is rarely used and has a unusual contrast when you often see films with humanized animals to be family friendly an lighthearted, creating a interesting experience, i found myself being compelled to watch not for the gore but the story was interesting and the contrast i mentioned was entertaining to see
.themes
a dark world for anthropomorphic animals, times of war, proficiency and religion
.would i recommend?
if you can handle dark themes and like new experiences in film ,yes
