Loving Vincent
Loving Vincent is the first every fully painted feature film, the story revolves around the aftermath and mystery to Vincent Van Gogh's suicide, to have the film be done in oil painting animation multiple film techniques where implemented to maintain coherency and still remain faithful to the stylings of Van Gogh's paintings.
actors where selected that appeared like they could be the people in Vincent's portrait paintings, then where "rotoscoped" but with a large team of oil painters. 3d animation software was used to create the environment and then was also painted over.
