Advanced Animation part 2

The Pipeline  


1. Create basic 3d environment


for this section im creating a 3d version of some initial concept art i had for the region of Helmscroft, one of the key regions within my series concept Dark Star.


2. Render settings 

turns out there is a very useful renderer within maya for what im attempting to achieve called "Maya Vector"

- change renderer to Maya vector, this makes whatever is within frame rendered with outlines, visually it looks like the concept art above, but with correct perspective.
- to do this properly, i needed to change change edge colour to white to see what the result looks like (but render in black for the photoshop import)


3. Render then import image into Photoshop


Can be rendered as a vector an imported into toon boom, but ti think i would instead do the edit in Photoshop and then and animated background elements in toon boom  

4. Proceed to Photoshop editing
