Gertie the dinosaur 




the 1914 animated short film Gertie the dinosaur made by cartoonist and animator Winsor mccay was the first animated film to feature a dinosaur as well as have "interactivity" with Gerties trainer, as part as a live action act, because of this it was labeled as the first great animated cartoon on screen.

the film is considerably old however there are still some humorist quirks that hold up over time (whether intentional or not) and it was a great feat in the film industry for the time.

even as a short film (around 12 min) it still creates a connection between the audience and the 'pet like' dinosaur Gertie. its definitely worth watching if you have a interest in animation history.
