Motion capture BSA 206
Motion capture
Motion capture was created from the attempt at making rotoscoping(animating over top of film) easier for the age of 3d animation, this involves a mo-cap actor wearing points/dots that are identifiable on a computer as said parts they are attached to, and as the actor moves the motion of the dots are identified as moving, and are adapted to a 3d character.
uncanny valley
the "uncanny valley" was a theory put forward by roboticist Masahiro Mori which stated that if something appears human but acts unnatural, unlike a human would it can cause unease in people witnessing it, since humans have good perception in identifying emotions and what generally looks like a acting normal the abnormality that can be caused in the production of motion capture, realistic 3d animation or robotics is very easily recognized.
